Macau in 3 days

Start at the Ruins of St. Paul’s to beat the crowds and spend time in the adjacent Museu de Arte Sacra to learn about Macau’s missionary history. Stroll down the cobbled streets to Senado Square, admire pastel colonial facades, and browse the shops along Senado pedestrian area.

Have lunch at a local café for a Portuguese egg tart and pork chop bun, then visit the nearby São Domingo Church and Leal Senado. Continue to the Mandarin’s House to see a preserved Chinese merchant residence and finish at the Maritime Museum near the A-Ma Temple area if time allows.

Visit A-Ma Temple (Ma Kok Miu) on the southwest tip of the Macau Peninsula, an atmospheric shrine with sea views and historic plaques. From there, take a taxi or bus to Coloane for a quieter contrast to the bustle of Cotai and Senado Square.

Have lunch at Lord Stow’s Bakery or a local Coloane seafood restaurant and sample the original Portuguese egg tart. Spend the afternoon at Hac Sa Beach for a relaxed walk or light swimming, and visit the Coloane Village chapel and local hiking trails if you prefer a bit of nature.

Return toward the peninsula and enjoy a farewell dinner at a waterfront restaurant in Macau Fisherman’s Wharf or on the Taipa side at a seaside eatery. If you want one last nightcap, stop by the Macau Tower observation deck and skywalk area for city views before heading back to your hotel.
