The Universeum science museum was fascinating for all ages, and the Maritiman ship museum was very interesting. While the weather wasn't perfect, the city's indoor attractions and welcoming atmosphere made up for it. I'd recommend it for a cultural city break.
The Göteborg Museum of Art was exceptional, with a surprisingly diverse collection. Wandering through the botanical gardens was also a peaceful experience. The public transport is excellent, making it easy to get around and see all the sights.
